2020 has been an absolutely horrendous year! Covid19, Aliens, Earthquakes, locust, famine, wildfires, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, cooling temps, warming temps, planetary changes... and we still have a couple weeks left for things to get even "better"!
But I'm thinking about one specific topic today. The Covid19 vaccine. First of all it's no secret that I'm not a huge fan of vaccines.. primarily I don't see the dozens of vaccines insisted upon for infants as accomplishing much of anything. From a pure non-science point of view, I see more children who are young adults now that had all the vaccines and they are messed up people!!!
Admittedly there isn't any evidence of causality between vaccines and how messed up the typical millennial is, but there are some definite correlations. Is it possible that there is a link between childhood vaccines and anxiety? how about thyroid issues, depression, or any of another dozen issues and problems that our young people are currently dealing with.
Sure its possible that the Internet is the cause of all these woes. OR just politics or possibly just the fact that the parents screwed up. All are possible and probably equally to blame.
but the problem I observe is this, what cost will be incurred by insisting that everyone is vaccinated against Covid-19? What price will we have to pay as individuals and as a nation?
Consider the possibility.
You don't want to get vaccinated, say it is because you already have an autoimmune issue or anxiety or you are simply afraid of needles, how will this lack of vaccination affect you.
Will the police stand in front of groceries demanding to see proof of vaccination? will we require papers not only for identity but proving vaccination in order to fly on a plane, to walk in a public store. to go to court?
What if someone can't or won't get the vaccine, will we demand as a society that they be ostracized? will we remove their children from their homes? Will we force them into camps as a pariah?
What freedoms will we as a people be willing to give up because we have been pushed to a level of fear reminiscent of the "red scare" in the 50's.
There are so many possible outcomes most of them don't require a vaccine most don't require a mask, someone will die in all of them... sadly. a new virus causes death.. but not on the scale of destruction that we are likely to cause if we allow fear to rule our hearts and minds.
The other aspect to investigate is this, will a vaccine even impact the pandemic? I heard a medical expert speaking with the Governor of South Carolina state that the vaccine won't stop us from getting sick, it won't stop the spread of the virus, it simply will keep us from getting as sick. Hmm, well I have a response to that Vit D will keep us from getting as sick (proven, and possibly even keep us from contracting the virus) Vit. C will help us not spread the virus (Vit C secretes from pores in the skin and mucus membranes and is acidic.. which is not an optimal environment for the virus) Garlic extract.. well that guarantees social distancing (not really just being light-hearted) boosts our immune systems and helps our body recover more quickly from fighting off a virus. Do we need a virus that costs millions or even billions to create that won't keep us from spreading the virus or from getting sick, in fact, it won't do much more than what a decently healthy diet with supplements and some average exercise accomplishes. Do we really need that?
Admittedly I'm not being scientific here. I'm dumping my thoughts and ideas. This isn't a scientific paper nor am I offering sources or statistics to my arguments. I'm not really even offering arguments so much as I'm asking questions. If you can't answer the questions, then maybe you should ask them yourself, you may have other questions to ask, ask them as well. Push for answers, demand knowledge. Think about every aspect of your life.
These are just my thought, feel free to share them, feel free to consider them, feel free to dispute them. I'm not asking for my mind to be changed, though I never turn away thoughtful commentary and conversation. I won't accept abusive argumentative feedback.. because I don't have to.
Just consider the possible outcomes from a vaccine that doesn't appear to do anything to a population that desperately needs someone to provide a lifeline... and ask yourself.. who's holding the other end of that lifeline?
